Former Scottsdale, AZ, resident Jeff Drobny, CIO and principal at Black River Asset Management, is active with a variety of Catholic charities. Jeff Drobny belongs to Our Lady of Grace Church, a local parish in Edina, Minnesota, and often participates in charitable activities through the church.
Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church offers a wide range of ways members can enrich their lives, grow in their faith, and serve others. Dedicated to welcoming and supporting every member, the church maintains several pastoral care ministries designed to bring members together as a community. One ministry offered through Our Lady of Grace is Stephen Ministry, which enlists the help of lay people to provide one-on-one care and support to individuals facing difficulties in their life. Stephen Ministers at Our Lady of Grace provide support for such crises or difficulties as terminal illness, relocation, or divorce. Ministers receive at least 50 hours of training before seeing individuals in need and demonstrate a caring and dedicated nature. The ministry is confidential, and both the identity of the individuals seeking help and what takes place during the meetings are kept private.
